I lead Developer Experience Engineering for Google Maps Platform. I build systems that turn recurring developer friction into shipped tools, clearer paths, and measurable adoption.

My team works across product, engineering, UX, technical writing, and field teams. Recent work includes Code Assist, agent skills, agentic evals, the Geo Architecture Center, and open-source client libraries.

I stay close to the work by reviewing traces, writing evals, dogfooding products, and shipping reference apps. The loop is simple: find a problem that repeats, build the smallest useful artifact, test whether it helps, and publish what others can reuse. I explain the operating model in DevX Is a Growth Discipline.

Before this role, I led product and engineering for Intelligent Product Essentials at Google Cloud. At Instabase, I built the solutions architecture team. At Mapbox, I joined as the first customer-facing engineer, later led solutions architecture, helped launch Boundaries and Atlas, and wrote open-source tools for Python notebooks and Power BI. Earlier, I built connected-worksite systems at Caterpillar.

I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before software, I raced professionally for Trek-Livestrong and Bahati Foundation. Racing taught me to pace long efforts, measure the right signal, and keep looking for the next useful improvement. I still chase trails.
